At Shoreland Lutheran High School, we educate, equip, and encourage students for lives of service and fulfillment in a safe and caring environment. In pursuit of this, we have set a vision to become the premier school located between Milwaukee and Chicago, with a goal of maximizing enrollment to 500 students while ensuring appropriate facilities, curriculum, staffing, programming, technology, and administration.

Shoreland Lights Mentorship Program
Around 25 American students serve as leaders who help our international students acclimate to life in America. These enthusiastic teens accompany our friends from other countries to monthly activities including holiday celebrations, an annual trip to Chicago, museums, winter sports, hiking, cultural events, and more. These students make our international kids feel like they are part of our Shoreland family.

Project Lead the Way Distinguished School: Transformative STEM Classes
Shoreland is one of just 191 high schools across the U.S. and 1 of 12 in Wisconsin to receive this honor for providing broad access to transformative learning experiences for students through PLTW Computer Science, Biomedical Science, and Engineering. We also have a VEX Robotics team that competes internationally.
Trades Academy
Experience interactive classes, new technology, and the fun and energy of our growing program. Our curriculum and community partnerships provide students with tremendous opportunities to participate in hands-on learning, apprenticeships and on-the-job training before graduating from high school. Students can even earn certifications while at Shoreland.
Fine Arts, Drama, and Forensics
Fine arts is a fundamental part of a well-rounded education. A student can engage his ability to listen, create, reason, imagine, and feel through classes, private lessons and numerous groups. Shoreland has a band program, an orchestra, two choirs, and a drama program. A successful forensics program has sent many students to the state level of competition.
Athletics
Many of our students stay physically fit by engaging in weight training and after-school sports. Our coaches teach more than just athletic skills and strategies; they also coach the athletes to be leaders and men/women of integrity and grit. Good sportsmanship and teamwork are also encouraged.

ACT result
Our students may attend classes that prepare them for the ACT and take the ACT during their Junior year at Shoreland. Shoreland's top 25% scored an average of 28, placing them in the 91st percentile in the nation. Students may also take the PSAT in preparation for the SAT, but they have to take the SAT at a local testing location.

Shoreland Lutheran High School is proud to be the #1 WELS high school in Wisconsin in overall accountability and growth. We're also ranked #1 in overall accountability and growth in Racine and Kenosha County, as well as the #1 private 9-12 choice school in
growth score.
Preparing for the Next Step
We have a full-time school counselor who meets with each student. At these meetings, she talks about their current issues at school and also helps them make post-high school plans. Many universities send representatives to our school to meet with students. Our students also attend college fairs. The counselor and teachers regularly write recommendation letters for students. Our graduates continue their education at prestigious institutions, including Purdue University, Northwestern University, Penn State University, Georgetown University, New York University, University of California San Diego, University of Wisconsin in Madison, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, The Ohio State University, University of Minnesota Twin Cities, University of Massachusetts Amherst, Villanova University, Syracuse, Butler University, and Loyola University.
