Studying in the US during COVID-19
Although much uncertainty remains regarding the timeline for the return to normal life around the globe, Longwood continues to plan for Fall 2020. The advantage of choosing Longwood University for your education during a pandemic is the size – of the classes, the campus, and the community. Most of your classes will be small, you’ll be one of approximately 4,300 total students on campus, and Farmville is a quaint, small town. Overall, this means less exposure to illness, and keeping you safe is our priority. We also have a dedicated Student Health Center.
As COVID-19 developed this spring, our International Student Services team sprung into action, communicating daily with students, arranging airport transportation for departures, providing housing/meals for students who could not leave campus, and offering emotional support as needed. This high level of assistance will continue as students return to campus in August.
