Established in 1969, College of the Canyons operates within the Santa Clarita Community College District on 153 acres in the city of Santa Clarita. Located in the beautiful Santa Clarita Valley, College of the Canyons (COC) is a premier pathway to California University Bachelor Degrees.  College of the Canyons is located in the beautiful gently rolling hills of the Santa Clarita Valley about 1 hour drive from downtown Los Angeles, California. Surrounded by mountains and boasting a top quality secondary education system, it is located in one of the safest neighborhoods in California.The 150 acre campus welcomes students from over 50 countries speaking dozens of languages. Having one of the top transfer records in California, including guaranteed transfer programs in 25 majors, students have made it their academic launch point to the California State and University of California bachelor degree programs. There are thousands of students that have grown up near the campus that are excited to meet students from Asia, especially Vietnam. Making friends, developing study groups, and joining campus clubs are easy to do nearby. Great hiking, swimming, restaurants, movies, and shopping are just minutes away from campus.
