Kirkwood Community College is a large community college located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA. 11,000 students including 200 international students from 60 countries call Kirkwood home.  Kirkwood students complete their first two years of college in a supportive, affordable, safe and friendly atmosphere that prepares them for successful transfer of credits to university.  Kirkwood offers over 120 academic programs and is well known for its Liberal Arts transfer program, business, engineering, hospitality management and many more. With countless agreements for guaranteed admission to many 4-year colleges and universities, Kirkwood makes transferring simple — whether you’re planning to attend an institution in Iowa or across the country. In fact, more than 2,000 Kirkwood students transfer to 4-year colleges annually.

 

Kirkwood offers one of the lowest tuition at any community college in Iowa and has one of the largest scholarship programs in the country with over $3 million in scholarship money each year.  In addition, international students can apply for two different scholarships directly with the Global Learning office including the #YouAreWelcomeHere Scholarship.
