Located just outside of Seattle, WA, Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech) was founded in 1949, and is the only public institute of technology in the state of Washington. LWTech offers enine applied bachelor's degrees, and 48 associate degrees, including STEM-focused programs in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. In addition, LWTech offers Intensive English and High School Completion programs. Our graduates are ready to go out into the workforce with the latest industry skills, and/or they are ready to transfer to one of LWTech's applied bachelor degree programs or to another university. Graduation isn't the end; it's the beginning. Whatever your educational goals are, we are here to help you.

The surrounding area offers numerous outdoor recreational opportunities and a wealth of diverse arts, entertainment and cultural attractions. Kirkland is a few miles east of Seattle, and about an hour to skiing/snowboarding in the Cascade Mountains.
