Description about the school
Riverside Community College District (RCCD), which has three colleges, enrolls approximately 32,000 students yearly. RCCD offers students the opportunity to earn a two-year degree before transferring to a four-year university, resulting in a substantial financial saving in tuition at a four-year university. A majority of international students take their classes at Riverside City College, which was founded in 1916. The District opened two additional campuses in 1991 in the cities of Norco and Moreno Valley. Over 2,000 classes are offered each semester in more than 60 majors. The District also offers transfer opportunities to all University of California and California State University campuses. Almost 400 students from some 54 countries are currently working on their associate degrees and developing an educational path to be able to transfer to universities like UCLA, Berkeley, UC Riverside, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State Fullerton, Cal Poly Pomona, USC and Loma Linda University.
