Description about the school

Every year, 10,000 American students and 1,600 international students choose Seattle Central College. Seattle Central is the only community college in beautiful, lively, downtown Seattle, Washington. We offer the 2+2 College Transfer degree, High School Completion, Short-Term Certificates, Applied Bachelor’s degrees, and Professional/Technical degrees. We also offer 6 levels of English through our Intensive English and College Bridge programs. Seattle Central was named "College of the Year" out of all 1,200 U.S. community colleges in a one-time study by TIME magazine. The New York Times named Seattle Central one of only 11 American community colleges noted for transfer success. Students in our College Transfer (“2+2”) program have transferred to many universities, including Columbia University, Boston University, UC Berkeley, and UCLA. We also have a guaranteed transfer to many fine universities.  Seattle Central provides on-campus housing, academic and personal counseling, free tutoring, clubs, internship and leadership opportunities, and activities.
