The University of Arizona (U Arizona) is an elite, globally respected university recognized for outstanding academics, value, friendly people, and supportive faculty. Founded in 1885, U Arizona is in the beautiful Sonoran Desert which is rich in traditions and food from many cultures, unique wildlife, and stunning sunsets. We were ranked in the top 1% of colleges and universities worldwide in the 2024 annual Center for World University Rankings. University of Arizona research and development expenditures ranked in the top 4% of all U.S. universities and topped the astronomy and astrophysics category. More than 85% of new undergraduate international students in fall 2022 received a Global Wildcat Scholarship.

Conditionally Admitted students to the University of Arizona can fulfill their English language requirement through CESL's University Track pathway program. 

The Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) is located in the historic district of the UArizona campus and is part of the College of Humanities. Founded in 1968, CESL offers superior English language instruction to native speakers of other languages through quality teaching and a curriculum that provides a rich and engaging learning environment. Our program also prepares students for a successful college experience and integration into American culture.
