Description about the school

DePaul offers international students a unique university experience.  With a depth and breadth of academic programs – more than 300 undergraduate and graduate majors in 10 schools and colleges - students find their niche at the largest Catholic university in the U.S. with over 23,000 students.  Located in downtown Chicago, DePaul attracts students from all 50 U.S. states and over 110 countries. DePaul’s campus is in the “Loop,” the center of the city, with several educational and cultural institutions.  A spectacular variety of entertainment and recreation is available.  Nearby, students will find shopping, restaurants, beautiful parks, museums, and a very active student scene. DePaul is primarily a teaching institution: almost 90% of our full-time faculty hold doctorates in their fields, the student-to-professor ratio is 16:1, and the average class size is below 40. Professors at DePaul challenge students to apply what they to real-world situations, regularly incorporating local organizations into the lessons
