The whole reason you're getting a degree is to get a job when you graduate, right? At SUNY New Paltz, our career resource center goes above and beyond to help international students to find the right opportunities for CPT internships, and OPT jobs when they graduate. 3. New York City is only an hour and a half from our campus
New Paltz is a small, safe college town that you will absolutely love. But if you ever need to just get away to the "Big Apple" for a weekend or even a day trip, you can take a bus right from main street in town that goes directly to Grand Central Station, Manhattan. It's that easy! And when you're ready for internships, it makes for a doable commute to do an internship at one of the top companies in the city. Here we are on the map!
4. You don't need to a bachelors degree in computer science to apply
Admission to the program is open to ALL majors. While many of our students enter the program with undergraduate degrees in computer science or related fields, others have come from fields as varied as Philosophy, Fine Arts, Journalism, Business and Biology.

Financial Aid
We know that going overseas to study in the United States is a big investment. That's why we offer Graduate Assistantships as a funding opportunity for international graduate students.
These are offered after your first semester if you apply and are a strong student academically, and they will waive the cost of one of your courses per semester, plus give you a stipend to use for expenses.
Admission Requirements
To apply for the program, you can click this link to create an account and complete the online application. You will need to pay a $60 application fee, and then you will need to upload the following*:
Official undergraduate transcript from an accredited university*
Personal statement essay
Three (3) letters of recommendation (name and email of the references)
CV/Resume (optional)
Official TOEFL (ibt 80) or IELTS (overall band 6.5) scores*
Official GRE scores*
Note: Financial documents can be uploaded after you have been given admission.
*Electronic copies can be uploaded for decision. If admitted, then you will need to mail the official paper copies to the graduate office.
