The area's beautiful climate, diverse culture, prime location with easily accessible international airports, stable job market, and many popular attractions also make it a wonderful study destination in the US.

Support During COVID-19
SJCC recognizes the difficult impact COVID-19 is having on international students and their families and is working hard to help during this unprecedented pandemic. Students were regularly informed about the student health insurance plan (which includes COVID-19 testing and telemedicine), academic policies and changes, and other important news through newsletters, Zoom meetings, and phone calls. In addition, an emergency needs scholarship was created and granted to every international student who expressed a need due to COVID-19.
Binh Nguyen, a first-year student from Vietnam, was awarded nearly $3000 from the Institute of International Education (IIE) Emergency Student Fund explains “I cannot return to Vietnam this summer due to this unexpected situation. I am so happy and lucky to receive this support because it will help me and my family cover my living cost this summer in the US. Thank you, Doriann and SJCC for nominating me.”
